Terms and Conditions

Lewis Parker Guitar Co.

Effective Date: January 1 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales, commissions, and use of products and services provided by Lewis Parker Guitar Co. (“we,” “us,” “our”). By placing an order, submitting a commission, or using our website (lewisparkerguitars.com), you agree to these Terms.

1. Orders and Commissions

1.1 Custom Builds – Each instrument is handcrafted to order, and all build specifications must be confirmed in writing before work begins. Once specifications are approved by the customer, any subsequent change requests will be considered at our discretion and, if accepted, will incur a $100 administrative fee per change in addition to the cost of the modification. Such changes may also extend the estimated build time.

1.2 Deposits and Payment Schedule

  • A 25% deposit is required to secure your build slot.

  • An additional 25% payment is due when work begins on your guitar.

  • The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion, before shipment or delivery.

1.3 Grace Period – If any payment is missed, you have 30 days to bring the account current. After 30 days, deposits are forfeited and the instrument will be listed for sale.

1.4 Non-Refundable Deposits – All deposits and partial payments are non-refundable.

2. Pricing and Payment

2.1 Currency – All prices are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise specified.

2.2 Payment Methods – We accept payments in USD by PayPal, and all major credit cards. Payment is considered received only when cleared.

2.3 Taxes & Duties – Buyers are responsible for any applicable taxes, import duties, or fees in their jurisdiction.

3. Shipping and Delivery

3.1 Method – Instruments are shipped using reputable carriers such as UPS, Fedex, or USPS/Canada Post.

3.2 Risk of Loss – Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.

3.3 International Shipping – International customers are responsible for customs clearance, duties, and compliance with local regulations.

4. Guarantee and Warranty

4.1 30-Day Approval Period – All sales are subject to a 30-day approval period beginning on the date of delivery. If you wish to return an instrument within this period, it must be shipped back in its original as-new condition by the same shipping method used for delivery. The instrument will be inspected upon arrival.

  • Refunds will be issued within 90 days of receiving the returned instrument, less the cost of return shipping.

  • If the instrument is returned in less-than-new condition, we reserve the right to deduct a 15% restocking fee from the refund.

  • Deposits and partial payments remain non-refundable.

4.2 Limited Warranty – We warrant our instruments against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

4.3 Exclusions – This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., frets, finish checking, hardware aging).

  • Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications/repairs.

  • Issues caused by environmental conditions, including but not limited to exposure to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or relative humidity outside the safe range.

4.4 Environmental Responsibility – To maintain warranty coverage, instruments must be stored at room temperature and in a controlled environment with relative humidity maintained between 40–60%. Damage caused by improper humidity or temperature conditions (e.g., cracks, warping, fret sprout, glue failure) is not covered under warranty.

4.5 Remedy – At our discretion, we will repair or replace instruments determined to be defective under warranty. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with warranty service, including insurance.
